About this site
middlenameideas is a small site by a person who got tired of baby-name websites that all read like the same content marketing AI wrote them on a Tuesday.
Every page here was generated from a curated set of first names, a curated pool of middles, and a matching algorithm that knows which combinations actually work. The reasons attached to each pairing are written by hand, then permuted — but the pool of reasons is hand-built, not auto-generated.
The voice is intentional. The site is sister to BabyNa.me, which has actual government data on every baby name across twenty-one countries. Use both.
Who picks the middles
The same person who built the site. The pool draws from classical, biblical, celtic, botanical, celestial, mythic, modern, and a few other vibes. The algorithm reads syllable counts and matches contrast where it helps, harmony where it doesn't.
Why no ads
Ads are coming, eventually. But not in a way that wrecks the reading. Probably one banner near the footer of the long article pages. We’ll see.
